ERICA WALTERS. Founder of PFS, Certified Instructor
Erica Walters is a wife, mom, full-time teacher, studio owner, and host teacher with New York’s renowned, Real Pilates Teacher Training.
Erica absolutely loved learning Pilates. But fell even more in love with teaching Pilates. She has been certified and teaching full time since 2005, and in Louisville since 2014. She founded Pilates Fit Studio in her home when she moved to Louisville and built a devoted following that allowed her to expand to a commercial location in Crestwood in 2017. Within 9 months of the move to the commercial studio, she expanded the studio to double the original size. In the fall of 2020, she moved the studio to a larger location in Pewee Valley to accommodate the continued growth of the studio for clients and the teacher certification program.
Her personal teaching style is both encouraging and motivating, with an emphasis on good technique, precision, and control. She trains clients of all ages and fitness levels and mentors apprentices in the Real Pilates Teacher Training program to certify in Classical Pilates.
Erica is a distinguished graduate of Alycea Ungaro’s Real Pilates Teacher Training program. She completed MeJo Wiggin’s Classical Syllabus and is an Advanced graduate of the 950-hour Teacher Training program with The Pilates Center of Boulder. Erica holds a BA in Human Communications from Arizona State University.
Erica was born and raised in Southern California and has a love for the west coast and the outdoors. After graduating college and living in Scottsdale for ten years, she had the opportunity to teach Classical Pilates in San Diego, Dallas, and Oklahoma City while her husband fulfilled his duties as a pilot in the Air Force.
In 2019, she wrote The Better Back® for Pilates & Osteoporosis, which is based on her in-studio class format. Additionally, she has been a guest writer in the Reader Platform for Pilates Style Magazine, lead fitness clips for Blink Energy Water in LA, and was an adjunct professor for the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at Oklahoma City University. She has been featured locally in Crestwood Neighbors Magazine, the Oldham Era, and Pilates Bridge. SUSAN VIERS, Real Pilates Apprentice Teacher
Susan Viers was first introduced to Pilates over 20 years ago and has practiced consistently since. Movement has always been an important part of her life, whether it was taking ballet and watching her mom do aerobics while growing up, running four mini-marathons, and doing numerous group exercise classes as an adult. Her mom taught her just to keep moving; it didn’t necessarily matter what you did, as long as you did something! The “something” that has inspired her most has always been Pilates, and she is excited to share this passion with others.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Centre College and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Louisville, where she was awarded the Landrum Prize for Leadership. During her professional career, Susan received the Young Careerist Award, was a graduate of Leadership Louisville and Leadership Kentucky, and was named a “Top 40 Under 40” by Business First.
Having served as president of the Junior League of Louisville and a member of the Lobster Feast Committee for Actors Theatre, Susan continues to remain active in the community.
With a strong belief that classical Pilates can benefit all bodies, Susan looks forward to working with all types of clients to help them increase strength, flexibility, and balance.

Alex specializes in delivering an efficient, full-body session that will challenge your concentration while maintaining a strong focus on your individual needs. She has experience working with all levels and loves to see her clients transform as they experience “a-ha! moments” in the studio. When she’s not working out in the Pilates studio, Alex loves to play tennis, go hiking, strength train with kettlebells, and practice yoga.
MOLLY MITCHELL, Certified Teacher & Studio Coordinator
Molly Mitchell completed her Classical Pilates program with the Vertical Workshop, and holds a Pilates and CoreAlign certification through Balanced Body.
She has been teaching Pilates full time since 2015. Before returning home to Louisville, she taught group classes, semi-private, and private sessions at EHS Pilates in San Francisco, and at Rise Bodyworks in Alameda. Since returning to Louisville, she went to school for massage therapy.
Molly became a Pilates enthusiast when knee, shoulder, and low back pain threatened her dance hobby, and Pilates classes proved an effective antidote and technique refinement tool. She is always seeking to know more about movement, and has completed additional education in tailoring the Pilates repertoire to address prenatal and postnatal fitness, scoliosis, dance technique training, and foot and gait therapy. For Molly, the power of Pilates is in its adaptability to meet you where you are and create a path toward your goals, whether that is walking with ease or training for the circus. As a teacher, her objective is to empower each client to be a wise steward of their own body, and connect to the joy in moving well.
